Manitoba's RDCs are seven community-owned, economic development agencies established to provide:
- assistance to individuals looking to start or expand a business
- assistance to member local governments in a wide variety of initiatives including socio-economic development, tourism, recreation, culture, etc.
- regional promotion, marketing, information.
Manitoba's RDCs are supported by member municipal governments and the Manitoba Department of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Initiatives.
